I noticed the thalam for this Purandaradasa krithi is marked Chapu. The version that I learnt (from MLV recordings) is Adi with two akshara edupu. Of course, Purandaradas krithis have some variety. So I am not saying you are wrong. I am simply asking for clarification. Respectfully :-)

In my Index, this song is listed under gaurimanOhari, kalyANi, madhukauns, madhyamAvati, pUrvikalyANi and tilang. All are in Adi tALA. The only exception is cenjuruTi which is in cApu tALA.
