Hello! I saw a post on Karnatik recently about Dos and Donts of singing carnatic music. I'd like to seek a clarification about one of the Don'ts that said 'Do not sing gamakas your voice is not trained for.' (Not the exact words) I was wondering about it.....Then how do we learn 'new' gamakas? What is the disadvantages of trying to sing 'new' gamakas? Seniors and elders, please advise...
