Dear List--
On another list a user mentioned one 'Sanjit Laxmanan' who in the early 1900s made recordings with the sound of a train. Does anybody know who this Laxmanan is? The name might be 'Sangeet Laxmanan/Lakshmanan', etc. as the users on the other list are not Indian or familiar with Indian naming conventions in general.
Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know of early 20th century Indian composers who composed for non-traditional instruments and utilized environmental sounds on their recordings?
