Hi there
Would like to know if the song 'gopalaka pahimam' is in rag revagupti or in bhoopalam...this website gives it as bhoopalam...still would like a clarification as there is a very subtle difference between the two
thankyou sowmya

sowmya, Gopalaka Pahimam, Bhoopalam (usually sung in Revagupti).

On the same note, there are several other songs that follow this line:
manasuloni - varamu (often confused for hindolam and sung in that raga)
mOshahOdEnallO - aThana (often sung in shubhapantuvaraaLi)
kaashi vishalakshim - gamakakriya (often sung in poorvi kalyani)
Other examples?

Both ragas use the scale SGMDNS/SNDMGS but hindOLa is under mELA 20 using D1whereas varamu is placed under mELA 22 using D2.
