I am often told that to sing properly you have to sit up straight and not shake your head.
Once, I attended a music concert by the student of a teacher of mine. I thought the student moved the head too much.
Later, the teacher asked me, how did my student sing? how was the concert?
Not wanting to offend my guru, I smiled and nodded my approval.
Immediately came the reply: "What? It was a terrible concert!"
I was humiliated and learned a valuable lesson about honesty and appreciation!
