The kriti sharaNam Brava karuNAm shows up as in the rAgam saurAshtram in Karnatika.com. I have a recording by Sikkil Gurucharan (Sri Parthasarathy Swami Sabha, December 17, 2004) that lists it as in HamsavinOdini. I don't see any references anywhere that make these rAgams synonymous with one another. There are several YouTube videos that have the same song but showing it one of these two rAgams.
I wonder which of these two is right. I think I can recognize saurAshtram, and this certainly doesn't sound like it. But I do not know hamsavinOdini at all.
Thanks
K Bharathan

Like Purandaradasa's songs, some of which are sung in different ragas (for the same song), this song by Naratana Tirtha has been sung in saurashtra, hamsavinodini, arabhi, kapi, kalyani and shanmukhapriya.
