Hello, There seems to be a bit of a confusion in the information provided here: www.karnatik.com/co1124.shtmlThis contains the combined bio for Annaswami Shastri Son of Subbaraya Shastri and Annaswami Bhagavatar... This info pertains to Annaswami Bhagavatar: His parents were Duraiswami Jadavallabar and Janaki Ammal. He studied the scriptures under Bhuvaraghachariar and Madurai Ramasubba Sastrigal and learned Sanskrit at the Sanskrit College in Tiruvaiyaru. He learned from his uncle as well as Tirupazhanam Panchapakesa Bhagavathar and musical training under Madirimangalam Natesa Ayyar and Kottaram Ramasubba Sastrigal. He received the Sangita Kalanidhi award in 1955 and was known for his use of rakti ragas. He also became the principal of the Harikatha School in Tanjore. Annaswami Shastri was the son of Panju shastri and Subbaraya Shastri adopted him. Please do correct this error. Thanks, Vidya
