Why only malayalam songs? What difference would it make when the song is played on an instrument?

It does make a difference, if you know to play varnams or a specific language, on which you are very thorough, the fingers will move faster when u try to play songs from other languages.
i always believe in starting from what i know thorough it and then go to the ones which i don't advantage being u will be knowing two things instead of one
